i'm desperate to know who and how people voted.

i voted short, but i think you know that... i just have such crush on this beautiful, spunky, self-actualizing 2008 model meghan. of course, you have the loveliest long hair i've ever seen so you're kind of in a win-win. jerk.
dude. totally missed the vote. I think you are rocking the short curls. and I'm sure they require some getting used to in terms of how to treat them (these are things that the straight-haired among us simply do not understand.) you will probably need a new product. it strikes me that this might make you cranky. but I say go for it. stay short. stay beautiful. stay brave.
that said, if you are growing it out, good for you.
