it's that time of the month again...

okay, i hate to sound like a broken record but...

come on, ladies, time for the monthly reminder to do your self breast exams.
it's been two months since i received my diagnosis.
by now you should have all done at least two exams.
(i realize many of you have already done about 60.)

important things to remember:
1) best time to do them is a few days after your period
2) important to look in the mirror for changes
3) important to choose a technique that works for you - circular, lines, wedges
4) you're looking for changes. if you're not sure, make an appointment with your dr.
5) DO THEM EVERY MONTH. it's not prevention.
but it could potentially save your life if you catch it early.
6) i'm serious about this.

here's a new link for some variety:

Hey there:
We're annoyed too with the waiting. I must say we hope some of the news brings you East. We need a hug really really badly.
On another note...read in our Sunday newspaper (yes, some people still read newspapers)about a fellow at UCO at Boulder who is noted for his work with talk therapy. I was thinking about you and its application with your teens in NYC. Maybe you'd like to look at his work. At the very least a bit distracting from the waiting. grrrrrr.
Love,
Susan

Dear Meghan,
I check every day (OK, sometimes a few times each day) to see how you're doing. Just want you to know that while you're waiting, you're in my thoughts and in my heart.
