today was the day.

three other people chopped off their hair in solidarity - eric, taylor, and jay. moss and dave would have...but they are already bald. julie desperately wanted to...but she has a cd release party for her new album tonight! and anne's body has changed enough in the last 7 months!

as usual, the support brought me to tears.

best to use pictures...as i am completely beyond words.
there are some amazing ones on kodak gallery, click here:

I shaved mine off too - well, that's not much of a sacrifice given my current state - i guess i could start to grow mine back in a reverse blessing kind of way, but I'm not sure the world is ready for that & I don't think I'd accomplish much even if I tried ;)

However, i will definitely think of you and pray for you each time I break out the clippers!

peace be with you today my friend,

adam

Dearest Meggie,
What incredible friends!! And how amazing YOU are! You have shared with us a perfect example of "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade". You and Eric both have great heads to show off! And I never realized what Eric would look like with paisis (sp?)! Glad you did this before I got there. I'm a sucker for going along with the crowd when there's fun and good deeds to be done. Phew!!
See you soon!!!!
Love,
sandy :-)

I am really impressed with you. You are a model of what people can do when faced with adversity of any kind. I've learned a lot by reading your blog.

Thank you,
Patrick, Noelle, and Naomi

I just realized I posted the same thing twice.

I may not be a smart man, Jenny, but I do know what love is.

Like the anxious knot of butterflies beating in your chest as you climb the ladder of the high dive.

Like the courage it takes to tip forward. And off. And down. To the water.

Your reward is cool, refreshing, strong accomplishment and cool, refreshing, strong style.

Congratulations, you gorgeous thing you.

I love the close up photo of you on kodakgallery - so sophisticated and smart looking.

Revel in your new and incredible you. You've given us so much through this, Meg. What a gift.

Love,
Julie

Dear Meghan,
I'm picturing a young girl, cancer patient, receiving your locks to wear on her head - what joy you will give to her!!

As for your new look - you make Demi Moore in her GI movie look so plain!! You're gorgeous.

So far today, I've been called Kojak and Yul Brynner. Not bad, I suppose. But just now someone just called me out as "Bull" the Bailiff from Night Court. Wow. Not quite as flattering, but perhaps a good Halloween costume...
